I strongly believe that a good tutor is not only knowledgeable, but also patient, compassionate and flexible. As a life-long learner, I am passionate about education and I hope to instill this passion in the hearts and minds of all my clients. I am a TEA certified teacher for secondary History and Social Studies. In college at Baylor University, I served on an academic excellence committee where I was a frequent and successful tutor to my peers. Throughout my graduate program at Southern Methodist University, I taught United States History and AP European History to students in the 10th, 11th and 12th grades. I spent significant time during this experience working with students individually and preparing instruction that was effective and engaging. I have been specifically trained to work with students of various learning abilities and with widely differing academic needs.
