-2 years of private tutoring experience -5 years of teaching assistant experience (3 years at UW-Madison, 2 years at Rice) -past instructor for Calculus 2 and Linear Algebra at Rice U. -received a teaching award from the Dept. of Mathematics at UW-Madison My teaching philosophy is to help the student to teach themselves. Rather than providing strict algorithms and techniques to memorize, I believe success in mathematics lies in understanding the underlying concepts. In doing so, I believe students will be better prepared to tackle new problems that arise.
