I consider myself to be a tutor of languages, primarily French. I have an adaptive teaching style, and am able to deliver material in a way that meets the needs of the individual students. I do this by taking the time to learn about their language goals and specific interests. For instance, if I am tutoring an adult student who is planning an upcoming trip to France, I would focus on common phrases. We would practice conversational phrases and items specific to his or her trip. If I am tutoring a student who is new to the language acquisition process, we would focus on basic concepts and utilize workbooks and language books. There is a significant difference in the structures of English and French. It is necessary to ensure that each student has a firm grasp on these differences before proceeding. To do this, I utilize music, books, and YouTube videos. During my free time, I enjoy art and sports.
