I am a Native German from the Frankfurt area and do have a BA Degree from Germany, although it is a bit unrelated to language, being in Hotel and Restaurant Management, but is still a degreed education. I have however completed various monthly teaching curriculum courses and seminars for the Foreign Service Institute at the US Department of State for our Continuous Education. I have also received various Awards for Teaching from the same Foreign Service Institute at the US Department of State.
Experience
My tutoring experience is 15 years of High School, College / University, Grad. Students and Adults Full Language and Cultural Immersion training. I have also worked at Berlitz and have spent the last 3.6 years at the Foreign Service Institute at the US Department of State in the Washington DC area Teaching Complete Political, Business and Social German Culture and Reading, Writing and Spoken Language Immersion to our US Foreign Diplomats training for their Various and Final Exams prior to their overseas post representing the US in Germany.

Hobbies
I enjoy reading, traveling, baking, walking our Basset Hound with my Dutch Husband and spending time with my daughter at Cornell University. I'm also very much interested and hence do keep up with, all German Cultural and News aspects, in part because Germany is where I am from. My style of teaching is to make learning fun, so that more information will stay memorable for a longer period of time. My reputation for this is actually a small portion of what some of my awards were for. I have high energy and am tough but fair, and always in a fun and positive rewarding manner. My priority is always to focus on my student's needs.
