I graduated from a Linguistic Pedagogical University in Saint Petersburg, Russia with a Bachelor's Degree in teaching English as a Foreign Language. I am also a Texas Elementary and Middle School Certified Teacher in Language Arts and ESL.
Experience
In Saint Petersburg, Russia, I worked as an English teacher and tutor for over 10 years. I taught adults and children from beginner to advanced levels (Academic English, Business English, TOEFL preparation, CAE [Certificate in Advanced English, Cambridge] test preparation). In the US, I have worked as an ESL Instructor at Lone Star College for 4 years where I have taught Grammar, Writing, Reading, and Oral Communication courses (levels 1-4). I am also currently preparing some ELL students for college. Their goal is to pass the entrance test and start taking college level classes towards their degree. My tutorials help these students gain solid knowledge in their level of language proficiency as well as acquire confidence which definitely contributes to their academic success. Teaching EFL/ESL is not only my profession, it is also my favorite pastime. It started as a hobby and later turned into my job that I am very passionate about. My students often say that I inspire them to learn and succeed.
