As a graduate student at Brown U, I worked as a teaching assistant for Theatre and Performance History and Theory courses from the Paleolithic to the Renaissance. My responsibilities included one-on-one and group tutoring sessions as well as editing. I love helping students of any age develop their critical reading skills and express their points of view. I find that I take interest in both the students who excel and those who greatly struggle. For the former, I make sure they do not bore of the topic by engaging them in higher-level conversations about the material. For the latter, I diagnose what's getting in the way of their success and then work from there. I have extensive experience in editing essays, theses and manuscripts in Philosophy, English Literature, Comparative Literatures, Performance Studies, and Anthropology.
