I am a petroleum engineering student in Houston. Throughout my studies, I picked up some bad learning habits that were corrected by having a good tutor. Now I want to help others in the same way. I understand that some people avoid certain subjects altogether, simply because they had one bad learning experience. I believe that every student can do well in every class; they just need someone to help them learn healthy study habits. Focusing on each pupil's individual needs is something that I have learned makes a world of difference. It is my goal to get students interested in subjects that they used to run from. I work hard to re-introduce them to the subject in a way that will engage them in the material and redirect their negative thinking. I plan my curriculum around first teaching my students healthy habits, then delving into the areas they need help with the most. I also take the time to listen to my students and create a lesson plan that I know they can handle. I have personal experience in needing help and now I would love to be the person to do the helping. In addition to engineering courses, I can help with mathematics, business, English, and more.
