Experience

As a tutor, I love being able to focus completely on a single student. While I value classroom teaching experience, it does not allow such personalized attention. With a tutor and a solid education, a student can learn to put true effort into their work and achieve their goals. Aside from working with students, I love to read, watch superhero movies and TV, and travel. I am an avid traveler, and I accumulated much of my teaching experience through international adventures. I have taught ESL within a bilingual elementary school in Spain, and I have also helped adults prepare for English exams. I taught for one year at a private English academy in South Korea. In high school, I gained experience as a tutor at my local library, and was a teacher's assistant for a local elementary school. Currently, I live in Texas, where I am certified as a secondary-level English teacher. I have been teaching and tutoring here for the past ten years. In college, I led Spanish study sessions and tutored in writing. I earned my education degree in English, with minors in math and Spanish, from the University of Texas at Arlington. I graduated summa cum laude in 2012.
