ExperienceI am knowledgeable in the maths and sciences, and I love to teach. I can tutor students in algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, differential equations, geometry, trigonometry, chemistry, physical chemistry, physics, and a multitude of other subjects. I received my degree in Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Houston. I'm now pursuing a career as a high school math teacher. I have experience working with students as an educator. In college I taught a few smaller undergraduate classes, and I worked with students as a tutor in individual sessions. Having taught groups and individuals, I've learned a lot about what is and is not effective. I've found that teaching students in one-on-one sessions is much more effective than in groups. In individual sessions, I can determine what a student's strengths and weaknesses are, and I can create a much more personalized lesson plan that will target the specific areas that a student is struggling with. Outside of studying and tutoring I am an avid reader. I enjoy reading fiction novels, math and science books, and I occasionally dabble in nonfiction. Other than reading I like to go running, swimming, and dancing. I am actually a performer on a swing dance team.
HobbiesI read a lot. I like fiction, math, science, some non-fiction. I also like to run, swim, and dance. I'm even on a swing dance performance team.
