I began tutoring while I was a high school student by participating in my high school's peer-to-peer tutoring program. After graduation, I enrolled in Rice University, where I'm currently a bioengineering major who is minoring in health technologies. I am also an academic fellow for bioengineering and Chinese. I've spent time volunteering in an after-school tutoring program for elementary and middle school children. Additionally, I teach Sunday school classes at my church for children in grades ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade.I feel that tutoring has taught me as much as I've taught my students. I enjoy working with younger children, and watching them improve academically throughout the school year. I tutor students in the Houston, Texas area in a variety of subjects, including elementary math and middle school math, as well as all levels of Mandarin Chinese. I also offer test prep services to students preparing to take the SAT.When I have free time, I enjoy cooking, journaling, reading, and running.
