I earned my MBA and bachelor's degree in information technology from American Intercontinental University in Houston, Texas. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in education from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. I have 25 years of tutoring experience that began when I was a high school student. I helped my peers and other students from different schools in my school district learn various topics. As a college student, I was in demand as a tutor with students forming a line at my door. When I was a freshman at Makerere University, I was offered a job teaching math and physics by my former high school math teacher. He started up his own school, and I came aboard. Following graduation in 1996, I taught physics, math, and introductory computer science for five years at one of the top schools in Uganda, St. Mary's College Namagunga. Even though I had followed other career paths along life's journey, I never lost my passion for tutoring or teaching. I thoroughly enjoy the satisfaction I get from solving problems or using reasoning. There is nothing like facing the challenges both math and IT present. As for my teaching approach, I believe that life always offers learning opportunities. It is a continuous process. There are always new things to discover and new ways to view the world around us. The best way to teach is to tailor lessons to each individual, starting with the basic concepts he or she knows. I work up from there, building on those concepts.As for my personal interests outside the classroom, I appreciate fine art. I also enjoy playing volleyball and tennis. And, I certainly won't turn down a good game of Scrabble.
