Davidson College - BA, Latin American Studies

I attended Davidson College and have worked around the world teaching English. Some of the countries I've taught and studied are Peru, Costa Rica, and Brazil. I am an experienced EFL teacher and enjoy working with new language learners.I tutor many courses in grades 1-12, including Spanish 1-4, reading, writing, essay writing and editing, literature, English, languages, grammar and mechanics, American history, American literature, anthropology, British literature, creative writing, European history, Latin American history, world history, world history, and the corresponding AP courses. I firmly believe in the importance of empowering students. I have seen just how effective education is in facilitating the empowerment of my students and myself. I have received constant encouragement from my own professors, and without their assistance I imagine my life would be very different. During my free time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, writing poetry, and cooking.
