I am a tutor from Houston, Texas. I earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Victoria. Because I have a great affinity for math and science, I enjoy tutoring subjects such as elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, pre-calculus, statistics, ecology, general and marine biology, earth science, physical science, and environmental science. I'm also able to help students in IB-level biology and mathematics courses. As a tutor, I know that students have different learning styles, and I am able to accommodate each student's particular learning needs while sparking an interest in the subject. I try to achieve this by ensuring that they feel at ease in a tutoring environment where they can make mistakes and take risks while they learn. My main goal is to assist students in making improvements in their problem-solving skills while also getting them through any learning obstacles. In my spare time, I like to scuba dive, read, and rock climb.
