Perseverance, commitment, and responsibility are three key elements needed to be a good role model. I posses this qualities and go beyond what is ask for. I enjoy helping others and giving back to the community. There is nothing as wonderful as helping others grow and see them progress through obstacles. By teaching/tutoring one impacts individuals life. When working with others I always motivate them to reach their goals. I don't give up on myself nor others. Nelson Mandela once stated, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I did not know the true meaning of this statement before, but now I am slowly unfolding its definition through my teaching experience. Through education one has the greatest opportunity of them all; to impact others, especially young adults. Today, individuals do not really know what teaching is, what teaching does to the life of many. Some see it just as a regular profession; I see it as a life changing event. Not only do teachers facilitate learning but they also become role models. The teacher is a leader, a motivator, a friend, a gardener who is responsible of acres of land filled with wild flowers, and his/her responsibility is to nurture, and take care of them. The gardener is then able to see those wild flowers blossom. A teacher creates the future leaders of this country.
