I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Southern University and currently am working toward my master's in School Counseling from Capella University. Right now, I am also tutoring Math to students from elementary school age up through Algebra. Math is one of my favorite subjects to teach because the problem many students have is simply that it looks much more challenging than it proves to be once we work through it together. I encourage all of my students to ask questions whenever they are confused with a concept, as that was something I was often hesitant to do as a student due to fear of looking unintelligent. I want to provide a nurturing environment so students don't doubt themselves and are eager to learn from someone with more experience. There is no shame in students struggling with the material, and they need to understand that in order to give them the confidence to ask questions so we can work on their weaknesses together. In addition to math, I am comfortable tutoring subjects all across the English spectrum, as well as Spanish, French, Chemistry, Psychology, and Computer Science. In my free time, I enjoy vegan cooking, music, and dance.
