I'm studying for degrees in mathematics and philosophy from Rice University. I want to work in the risk analysis field, so I have a strong academic math background. I love studying statistics because it helps us make decisions and predictions in the real world while incorporating other math disciplines, including calculus. I've been tutoring students in pre-algebra and algebra for the past year, and my students have been successful. That said, I'm comfortable tutoring students in any beginning and advanced math topics, including calculus three and AP calculus AB and BC. I believe practice is the best way to develop a solid understanding of any subject, so I guide students through problems as they practice to help them learn more effectively and efficiently. When I have free time, I enjoy listening to music, riding my skateboard, playing the piano, lacrosse, rugby, and debate.
