I am deaf and I am fluent in American Sign Language, with over 16 years of experience with the language. I have taken an ASL Immersion Summer Program at the Gallaudet University in 1999, and used it ever since with the Deaf community. Since I am now out of college, I regularly use ASL interpreting services for work meetings, conferences, and various appointments. There is no better way to immerse yourself in ASL and Deaf Culture than to practice American Sign Language with a deaf person!
