I have tutored primarily high school and college age students, but also younger children ages 5-13 with developmental disabilities. I have studied learning itself, from a behavior analytic perspective, and am capable of applying teaching tactics based in these principles. I have studied a variety of subjects in the sciences (physics, neuroscience, statistics), social sciences (psychology, sociology, anthropology), and most recently, law. I am a lifelong learner, always excited to tackle a new subject. I believe that all subjects are related and that it is important to understand these relationships. Understanding why you are learning a subject is important to understanding the subject itself. My teaching philosophy begins from the premise that learning is behavior change. I aim to place subjects in a context that is inherently motivating. I also appreciate that students want to achieve specific benchmarks and will work with each student to achieve individual goals.
