I have previously tutored privately and through Sylvan Learning Center. My one-on-one experiences include reading, writing, piano, and study skills. State Certifications: Grades 4-8, English as a Second Language, Reading Specialist, Master Reading Teacher I have taught in the classroom for 8 years grades 4-12, primarily Language Arts. My piano students have ranged in age from 7-55. I've had the pleasure of publishing an article encouraging teachers with ideas for engaging their students in the learning process. I would like to tutor because I want to interact in a small setting and see students gain confidence as they learn new things and strengthen existing skills.
