As a tutor, I specialize in helping students to improve their study habits, improve their organizational skills, and prepare for standardized testing.I studied at Oklahoma State University and, while there, earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, with a focus on school counseling.At present, I work in the capacity of a science teacher. I have over the last nine years had the chance to help children of all ages, different academic standings, and different social levels. I can say with certainty that the skills I gained while pursuing my advanced degree at Oklahoma State University have enabled me to effectively and expertly help students who struggle with their academic performance. As my master's degree included an English minor, I am also very skilled in English, and I'm always happy to use this skill to tutor others.In terms of subject areas I specialize in, I have expertise not only in English, but also in math, science, social studies, and history. I understand that students learn in different ways, so I employ various strategies to engage their interest. These include hands-on exercises and helping them to decode questions.When I'm not working, I love going to different sporting events, taking part in various outdoor activities, and traveling to different places.
