Experience

I am a tutor located in Houston, TX, with previous experience tutoring and teaching young adults. I enjoy tutoring many subjects, however, I am especially fond of teaching Math and Science. Previously, I worked as a physics teaching assistant at the University of St. Thomas. There, I helped students understand concepts related to optics, wave mechanics, and circuitry. I have also volunteered as a Science and Math tutor in an after school program. I have a bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. I also have a master's degree in Medical Physiology from Case Western Reserve University. Math and Science are my favorite subjects to tutor. I have experience tutoring in Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Math (elementary and middle school), Statistics, Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, MCAT Biological Sciences, MCAT Verbal Reasoning, SAT subject tests in Math and Science, and Physical Science. In addition to working one-on-one with students to understand concepts, I enjoy helping students prepare for exams. I excel at teaching students study and test-taking strategies that they can apply for years to come. When I'm not teaching students, I enjoy reading, conducting scientific and medical research, and tennis.
