As a Manufacturing Engineer for a Houston-based oil service company, I must engage in problem solving and disassemble down hole production components to see how manufacturing and efficiency can be improved. I am therefore qualified to be a tutor of Math. The subject requires solid problem solving skills while proficiency in the subject can open the door to a range of opportunities. When Mathematical skills are developed from childhood, the opportunities one may have can enable them to make a real difference in the world. Math can lead to a diverse set of careers one may never thought possible.These are the reasons I have chosen to tutor Math.In 2013, I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Mechanical Engineering degree. I liked to not just play with my toys as a child, but also take them apart to see how they worked! That interest has grown into my ability to develop a passion for Math and help the future of our society. In addition to tutoring and my job as an engineer for an oil company, I also play the French horn. My other interests include swimming, knitting, and eating out at authentic Indian restaurants.
