Private tutor in Houston, TX
New York University - BS, Finance
I graduated New York University with a bachelor's degree in finance. Shortly after completing my undergraduate program, I enrolled back in NYU and completed a pre-med course. Since then, I've been working to enter a medical school with the hopes of becoming a pediatrician. Ever since I was a high school student, I've worked as a tutor and helped inspire students from different backgrounds and grade levels do better in the classroom. In addition, I also worked for a nationwide reading program where I helped elementary students in New York City improve their reading skills. My extensive background in education has allowed me to tutor students in a wide range of skills, but my favorite subjects to teach are science, mathematics, and college entrance exams like the SAT and ACT. Because I also have experience working as a public school teacher, I also have a deeper understanding of the coursework and teaching strategies necessary to help students succeed academically. I believe that the best way to help a student overcome their academic challenges and become a lifelong learner is to create a professional relationship that promotes honesty and trust. When I am not working in the classroom, I like to spend my time hiking, skiing, or swimming.
