Experience

I went to Stephen F. Austin State University for my bachelor's degree in chemistry and biology, and then went on to LSU - Shreveport for my master's degree in biological sciences. Currently I am a college professor teaching anatomy and physiology courses, but I also spent six years teaching at the K - 12 level. As a tutor, I've had the opportunity to work with students and my courses, students privately, and through other tutoring organizations. During that time I've had experience helping special education students, gifted and talented students, at risk students, ESL students, and others. My primary tutor subjects include biology, anatomy and physiology, life sciences, Spanish, earth science, and test preparation for the SAT, PSAT, STAAR, TAKS, GRE, GED, ACCUPLACER, and other assessment and admissions exams. I believe every student can be successful as a learner given the proper guidance and support. When I have free time, I enjoy playing the violin and singing opera.
