ExperienceI believe that living a life of fulfillment begins through education and knowledge. Education is not about memorization or being able to recite information from a book, but about developing a deep understanding of the material that can then be utilized throughout life. I view the learning process as active and engaging, where students are free to inquire and analyze information to develop their knowledge. I am capable of using the abundance of technology available to students as a means to further their education and connect to the ever-changing demands in education. I have my associate's degree and am in my final year of undergrad studies at the University of Houston. I will graduate with a B.S. in Biochemical and Biophysical Science and a Chemistry minor. I have worked as a teaching assistant in Biology. This position afforded me the opportunity to work with students as they mastered their studies and to create discussions to prepare them for their exams. I have also worked as a tutor in the Math lab, in both group and one-on-one study. These experiences have given me insight into the learning process and teaching strategies to assist students as they learn. Outside of education, I explore hiking trails, practice yoga, and better my community by volunteer service.
