Education

The University of Texas at Austin - Bachelors of Science, Human Development and Family Science

Experience

After finishing the University of Texas at Austin UTeach Natural Sciences program, I taught middle school mathematics for one year. The experience consisted of teaching a sixth grade year of mathematics along with a seventh grade year of mathematics. The connections I made with my students meant so much to me. I saw firsthand how they grew from the start of the school year to the end of the school year, and really appreciated seeing their progress. Now that I've returned back to the University of Houston and find myself a student once more, my schedule doesn't permit me to teach full time. Still, I want to keep that appreciation fresh by continuing to impact the lives of learners who need help with their studies. Education improves lives so I've decided to be a part of that improvement via tutoring. Students in need of help with math including pre-algebra and algebra 1, organizational suggestions, and study skills need to contact me. Outside of educational interests, I cook, play tennis and run, watch movies, and play board games.
