University of Nevada, Reno - BS, Mining Engineering

I earned a B.S. in mining engineering while studying at the University of Nevada. After graduation in May 2012, I was employed in the gold mining sector in the capacity of an entry-level engineer. I now live in Houston, Texas, in order to be closer to my relatives.Traveling is definitely a passion of mine, as I've gone to Peru, Europe, and Myanmar within the last few years. Part of the reason I like to go to foreign lands is that I believe strongly that constant, lifelong learning is critical to living life to the fullest. What better way to learn than to go to other places and experience things that I otherwise might never have come across?I enjoy tutoring because of the reward in seeing students understand complex concepts and ideas with which they had previously struggled. When tutoring, I believe I learn as much as those I tutor. Reading, science, and math are areas for which I provide tutoring services, though reading is probably my strongest subject. When I'm not working, I enjoy soccer, scuba diving, basketball, and fishing.
