Experience

Hello! I adore teaching! After receiving my B.A and master's in Mass Communication from the University of Houston, I moved on to teaching at the University of Phoenix where I have been since 2005. In my time there I have worn many hats! I have fulfilled a term as Lead Faculty and continue to mentor new instructors. I teach a variety of courses at University of Phoenix from general studies to writing to public speaking. Along with teaching at UofP, I am also an adjunct at the Houston DeVry campus. There, I not only continue to teach a variety of communication courses, but I also work with the Math Labs (Algebra I and II). As I said right off the bat, I LOVE teaching, so I am so excited for more opportunities to do just that through tutoring!Outside of the classroom I have a variety of interests as well. As my background in communication may have hinted, I love writing. Any type of writing! I even have had some of my poetry published and have won an award for my poetry. I also enjoy music and dancing. I began to study Tae Kwon Do and hope to share my joy of that discipline as well through teaching someday.I look forward to starting on an educational adventure with new students where the sky is the limit!
