I am in my senior year at the University of Houston, majoring in physics with a minor in math. I intend to pursue a career in medical physics. I have spent numerous hours as both a tutor and a student. I believe that having both perspectives is advantageous when it comes to effective learning and teaching.I have experience working with students of various ages and backgrounds and have taught a variety of subjects. I feel it is important to help them not just to understand the material, but know how to apply it in their lives. Connecting the material to something the students find interesting or useful makes the learning process enjoyable for everyone, and gives me the feeling that I am succeeding as a teacher.I can tutor Algebra, Geometry, Elementary Math, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Physics, Writing, Essay Editing, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, Arithmetic, Middle School Math, Chemistry, Science, and English.In my spare time, I enjoy playing chess, soccer, tennis, and reading.
