I have a personal background in a number of areas and have proven that when you put your mind to something anything is possible. I began my own academic career at the University of Houston where I received a B.S. degree in Political Science and two minors in Business Administration and Accounting. After that I moved forward to get my J.D. degree (with honors at graduation) at Thurgood Marshall School of Law. I now hold my attorney's license in TX. My background has helped to me to pass along knowledge to students on the value of hard work and being willing to put in the necessary effort to succeed. For example, I had a talent in mathematics and chose to take a placement test (putting me into a higher level of courses) to push myself and accelerate my education. I also reviewed the work of peers in law school to help hold myself and those around me to a higher standard. During this time I had an article that I wrote published in the Journal put out by our law school. I look forward to passing along some of the tools that I have gathered to achieve success and find a rewarding path in my academic life.
