By sharing my experiences, I believe I can help students understand the importance of good writing and how powerful words can be. I have seven years of tutoring experience and love to get my students interested in writing and literature. I have worked with both young and adult students and feel that talking with them and learning their strengths and weakness helps me provide them with the tools they need to succeed. I customize my approach based on the student and I work hard to engage them in the learning process. I tutor in the areas of Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, College Essays, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, Public Speaking, and English. If I can make the learning process enjoyable, it will motivate my students to reach their learning goals. I am a bilingual Latina, and I understand that I will be working with a diverse group of students and I relish the challenge. I attended the University of Houston where I received my Bachelor of Art in English Literature and my Master of Art in Education. In my spare time I enjoy swimming, my blog, yoga, the theatre, and playing with my dog.
