The passion and love I have for literature and education, which started when I was growing up, help me to share these aspects with others, both in the classroom and tutoring. I am an experienced tutor and mentor, going back to my high school years and continuing through to my professional years. I enjoy tutoring Literature, Essay Writing (perfection and preparation), Speech, English, and anything in the Grammar and ELA genres. However, I am certified in all subjects for K-8 grades and Reading and Language Arts at the high school level. I also believe in helping the students in whatever areas they need help in. My philosophy as an educator is: "Like a tree, every child can grow, when given the right nutrients and attention." I am passionate in helping the Millennial Generation with the challenges they are going through and their special skills. I make sure that both trust and rapport are the foundation of my relationships with the children. I received my bachelor's degree from Fordham University. I received my master's degree in Elementary Education, and I am currently enrolled in the Educational Administration and Curriculum Doctoral Degree program. I enjoy making it fun for the students to learn. I infuse my love of music, books, cooking, current pop culture, my friends, and dancing into the course curriculum to keep it fresh and let the students know more about me. I believe in encouragement and positive feedback to support and build confidence in the children. I look forward to helping students grow, reach their goals, and be the best they can be.
