Shiraz University - BS, Industrial Management , Islamic Azad University - MS, Industrial Management
I was raised in Iran, specifically Shiraz. My mother, a teacher, instilled in me a passion for solving problems, and in high school she helped me land a position doing just that. After that, I went to the University of Shiraz and graduated. The year 2009 brought a huge transition for me, as I moved from my home to the US, in pursuit of a transfer to dental school. Tutoring is exciting for me, as I use my enthusiasm for the subject matter, especially math, inspire my students to greatness. I have tutored high schoolers and even adult students. I've been able to help struggling students, ones who would go on to prestigious schools, and everyone in between. I explain math in a way that turns it into puzzle solving, giving the student the tools to think through the problems and intelligently ask questions. Aside from math, I have also helped with test prep, physics, statistics, chemistry, computer science, and others. When I'm not building up the next generation of problem solvers at Austin Community College, I like to explore my new home in Texas. I love the museums, coffee houses, and parks of this incredibly fun and interesting city. When I'm not teaching, I listen to music of many genres and styles. I also love to swim, and sometimes I like to just get lost in a great book.
