I worked for 25 years as a geophysicist in the oil industry, and had the opportunity to work in both Canada and the United States. I was raised in Montreal, and I attended the University of Western Ontario to earn my bachelor's degree in geology and geophysics. As a tutor, I generally help students learn math and science topics. I'm comfortable working individually and in groups. At Chevron, I had the opportunity to teach courses to colleagues. I enjoy teaching, and I find that I learn from students as much as for me. I can help students develop creative and critical thinking skills, because this helps them learn better on their own. I also make sessions interactive and engaging. Students learn better when they are able to get up and move around little bit while we discuss the subject.
