Experience
I did my undergraduate studying at Houston Baptist University, and then I went on to earn a degree in law at the University of Houston. I've used tutoring myself, developing my voice and skills as a writer. This experience was extremely beneficial for me as I was able to have my work published in a law journal. I've also had the opportunity to teach ESL to adults for two years. I understand based on this experience importance of an optimistic and comfortable learning environment for students and communication openly and don't feel afraid to ask questions. When I work with students, I explain concepts several different ways so that students see the concepts from different perspectives and are better able to understand it. I believe writing is important skill in a world that is driven by media, and look forward to helping students become better writers and essayists. When I have free time, I enjoy training for triathlons with plenty of running, swimming, and cycling. I also like to read, listen to music, and spend time with my niece and family.
