As a part-time magician, I become a part of someone's memory of being entertained. As a tutor, I become a part of a student's journey to success. I know the importance of feeling and being successful. Whether it is entertaining as a magician or studying a subject, practice is what is important and leads to this success. It was through continual academic practice that I graduated early from high school at the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science. It was through continual practice that I had earned two years' worth of college credits during my high school years. It is through continual practice that I currently study at Rice University. I incorporate this philosophy of practice into my tutoring experience, which I started in middle school. Since then, I've tutored students in sixth grade all the way through college. While I enjoy tutoring in math and science, my knowledge includes SAT/ACT prep, grammar, writing, and the science fields of chemistry, biology, and physics. I am also experienced in Mandarin Chinese. Each of these subjects involves logical thinking and solving problems, which again comes down to practice. Besides entertaining with magic tricks, I also work out, listen to music, and play the piano.
