Education

Northwestern University - BS, Journalism

Experience

I attended Northwestern University to earn my degree in journalism. I've been involved with reporting in journalism since I was in middle school student. As a professional, I worked for the Miami Herald and the St. Louis Post - Dispatch. I enjoy helping people become better writers. I've worked with family members, students, friends, and colleagues to help them improve essays, newspaper articles, works of fiction, and more. As a tutor, I've helped everyone from college students to fifth-graders. I've helped high school students with college applications as well. In addition to writing, I can help students with English grammar and syntax as well as spelling. When I work with students, I meet them where they are and help them build from there. It doesn't matter if a student struggling with reading or if they just want to polish their work. I will work alongside the student to explain the ways we can make the writing better until the piece is excellent. I can also help students prepare for the writing portions of standardized tests like the ACT.
