Rice University - BA, History

A young, enthusiastic person, I am therefore a great tutor and have the experience in many areas to help kids excel in school. I have recently taken many of the classes and standardized tests my tutees are preparing for. My style is very informal. I tutor English, Spanish, math, reading, writing, biology, social studies, and most other high school classes, a number of AP subject courses, in addition to various ACT and SAT test subjects. When working with a student one on one, I make sure they are comfortable with asking me any questions they have related to the work, their interests, or concerns with the direction they are going in.I also try to make personal connections. It is important students have fun as much as they need to work hard and concentrate. I strive to have everyone look forward to going to a tutoring session. Tutoring for two years, I have also spent the last two summers teaching full time. I attended Rice University and now live in Charlottesville, Virginia. When I am not taking my role of tutor to the next possible level, I enjoy my free time with interests such as writing poetry, cooking, and music.
