I am laid-back, academic-minded, culturally-astute, well-traveled, and out-going. I genuinely enjoy teaching and mentoring youth, and I equally enjoy working with adults attempting to perfect English. I am straightforward with my students, and I prefer to take a comprehensive approach to tutoring. As someone who has lived abroad extensively, I also understand the difficulty of adapting to a new culture, and enjoy working with non-native English speakers. I consider myself a globally-oriented business person who is an educator at heart. I enjoy students who are motivated to improve weaknesses, who wish to work ahead of grade level, and/or wish to acquire new skills. My students include children and adolescents attending St. John's High School, Strake Jesuit, St. Thomas Episcopal, Emery Weiner, St. Mark's Episcopal, St. Catherine's, and several HISD schools. I also routinely assist local business people edit documents and presentations, as well as improve their English.
