I am a native Mandarin Chinese Speaker with standard and excellent pronunciation. I lived in Beijing for college studying, physics teaching and astrophysics research for 22 years. I know Beijing culture very well and speak standard Mandarin Chinese. I am a middle-age teacher / tutor and have much experience teaching kids Mandarin Chinese. Based on different character and Chinese level of each student, I can find a most efficient way to teach Chinese Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing well, especially in Pinyin, Characters, Pronunciations and Grammar. Now I am tutoring several students. There are two students from Mandarin Chinese Language Immersion Magnet School, four kids preparing for the test to enter the MCIMS, and four students learning singapore textbooks from 1A to 6B. In general, we use " Kids Chinese Podcast,", "My First Chinese Reader"--Better Chinese, or Rosettastone to be our learning materials. I also know more about HSK test, and prepare the test for the students. I had 7 years' experience teaching college physics in Beijing. I had worked for 6 years in Department of Physics and Astronomy of Rice University since I came to Houston in 2004; thus I have more experience teaching students and know what they need. Furthermore, I like students and children so much and believe I have more patience for them. I have gotten BS, MS and PhD in Department of Physics and Astronomy of Beijing Normal University, the top 1 teaching university in China. Therefore, my physics and mathematics are very strong and have more teaching methods.
