I am a recent graduate of The University of Houston where I earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting. During my college career, I appeared on the Dean's List each term and was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society for graduating at the top 7% of my class. Additionally, I graduated with an overall GPA of 3.78 and earned a 3.9 GPA in Accounting coursework and volunteered as a tutor in the universities accounting lab. In addition to my studies, I have 10 years of experience in accounting as a bookkeeper, property accountant, corporate accountant and currently, a revenue accountant for a local oil and gas company. I employ a hands on tutoring approach. The courses I learned the least in while in college were those that consisted of professors reading from powerpoint presentations and the book. I will use your book and the content within the chapters, in addition to online resources and tools, to create and discuss questions and quizzes. This way, the student has a better understanding and a larger sphere of reference to ensure an understanding of the material. Additionally, I monitor student progress to pinpoint areas for improvement and focus on those areas overall.
