I am a tutor who enjoys teaching students math and science. I can help students with algebra, geometry, elementary math, middle school math, trigonometry, biology, chemistry, psychology, life science, ecology, social science, and a variety of other subjects. I also tutor Spanish. I am currently pursuing my degree in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with a focus on aging and a Spanish minor at the University of Arizona. After I graduate I plan on attending optometry school. I've been helping students since I was twelve. I've taught students about water safety, taught synchronized swimming, and coached a swim team. I also served as a teaching assistant in cellular neurophysiology and chemistry courses at the University of Arizona. As a tutor I highly value critical thinking, and I believe it is an important skill for every student to develop. I want my students to discover things on their own, with my guidance, without me having to outright tell them the answers. This allows for my students to become better, more independent learners. I encourage all of my students because I know how important it is for learners to have confidence. When I'm not studying or tutoring I enjoy swimming, sewing, going on bike rides, painting, and reading good books.
