Experience
I first attended college at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. I attend college there for a year and played varsity football. I then transferred to Tennessee State in Nashville, Tennessee, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. While at Tenn. State, I mentored and tutored freshmen who were science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) majors. I also tutored grade-school students as part of my work at a prep academy for STEM students. Before I graduated from Tenn. State, I enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard. I have served in the Guard for five years. I was very active during my college career. I was an officer in my campus fraternity, serving as assistant secretary. I was also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and I served as president of the campus chapter. I am excited about the opportunity to help a young person find academic success, and I want to be a part of the journey as often as I can. I can provide tutoring in several subjects, including Algebra 1, Calculus 1, Geometry, Elementary Math, Pre-Calc, Algebra 2, Civil Engineering, Trig, Middle School Math, Study Skills and Organization, and AP Calculus AB. I live in Houston, Texas. In my spare time, I enjoy athletic activities and listening to music.
