Experience
I attended the University of Houston, which is where I started helping my peers with their papers. I found that I really liked helping other students improve their organization, readability, and grammar found within their papers. I have also worked as a camp counselor for many years. During that time, I taught soccer, guitar, and crafts to boys up to the age of sixteen. It was through that experience that I found that I am able to maintain a balance between fun, instruction, and discipline, which brought me to my role as a tutor.I consider myself to be an expert in social studies, reading comprehension, writing, history, political science, and literature. However, I can teach language arts as well. I know how important it is for students to be able to read and write in an effective manner so that they can achieve success both in their academic studies and in every other part of their lives.Some of the subjects that I do well in include grammar and mechanics, college essays, reading, writing, social studies, business, English, and test prep.In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, and playing the guitar. I also love music, baseball, and soccer.
