Experience
I have an extensive academic background, which includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, as well as a Master in School Counseling. While I was earning my degrees, I taught middle school children in all different subjects. I have been working as a school counselor for more than four years and I miss being in the classroom. For me, I find joy in watching pupils learning new things and getting excited about it. The main subjects I tutor include language arts and English and middle school math. My all-time favorite subject is writing. My tutoring style is getting to know my pupils individually so I can tailor my lesson plans to fit their needs. There are no two brains that think or learn alike, therefore, as a teacher, I need to use different methods to drive the material home. I always investigate a student's learning style before I begin working with them. Based on what I see, I tweak my lesson plan to maximize their learning. When I am not teaching, you can find me listening to music, writing poetry, and playing basketball. I look forward to helping your child excel in their academic goals.
