I've done tutoring work since 2005 when I was in high school. Over the years it became a passion. In college I continued to tutor Math, Physics, and Chemistry. I earned my bachelor's in Applied Mathematics from the University of Houston with a triple minor in Microbiology, Chemistry, and Biology. In addition to those subjects, I have extensive experience assisting students with preparation for the SAT and ACT. While the Math section is my specialty, I'm also equipped to share test-taking strategies for any subject. I have worked with students from elementary school all the way up to adults in their 60s. I consider my job as a tutor threefold. The first step is to give the student confidence. After that I teach them effective skills for studying and work to reinforce them. Ideally this leads to mastering the subject matter. I'm confident in my abilities to connect with students of all different ages and academic levels. I believe everyone deserves instruction that works best for them, and that can't always be found in a classroom. In my free time I am huge sports fan. I love volleyball, soccer, basketball, football, as well as gardening and reading.
