The University of Texas at Austin - Bachelor in Arts, Economics

I really love teaching math. I've spent the past decade teaching math at the high school and middle school level, and I've also been spending nights and weekends tutoring math. I received my bachelor's degree from UT - Austin, earning a bachelor's degree in economics and a math minor. When I work with students, my goal is to help them become confident in their abilities. To accomplish this, I focus on problem-solving skills. When students know how to approach problems and understand the underlying concepts involved, they can become self-sufficient learners and successful at math. I can also help students prepare for the math portion of standardized exams. When I have free time, I enjoy practicing martial arts, hiking, camping, playing chess, and playing the guitar.
