During my last year and a half at Trinity University, I was a TA and tutor for multiple freshman engineering classes (Engineering Design I and Mechanics I). I found that understanding each student on a personal level was the most effective way to teach new material. Everybody learns differently, and I believe that to be true across all ages. A good teacher should be able to pick up on these differences and use them to guide his or her students onto the path of success.
