Please check out my website (apotutoring.com) to learn a little more about me, hear what clients have to say about their experience working with me. I have taken math through Calc 2, all AP classes in high school, General Chemistry, General Biology, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry (at the undergraduate and graduate level), Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics (graduate level), Statistics/Biostatistics at the undergrad and graduate levels, Human Anatomy and Physiology (graduate), Histology (grad), Immunology and Microbiology (grad), Epidemiology (grad), Pharmacology (grad), Latin, and Greek. I am Latin teacher. I have been teaching at a magnet school for the past 3 years, teaching Latin and SAT Prep. I scored in the top 98th percentile on Verbal Reasoning on the Medical College Admissions Test. I was a National Achievement Scholar (SAT performance) in high school. I attended Rice University on a full academic Trustee Scholarship, but I also received numerous full-ride scholarships from the University of Texas at Austin, University of Southern California, and the University of Notre Dame to name a few. I have a special passion for helping students and parents navigate the college application process: everything from finding and guiding students to the perfect school for them, to essay writing, and filling out the application itself. I especially enjoy essay writing, as it is such an important piece, not just for colleges to understand who a student is and what they have to offer to a particular campus, but, more importantly, for the student to come to some major self realization about who they are, what their strength and weaknesses are, what they want out of college, and what they want in life. I was a Varsity Division I Track and Field athlete in college. I placed in conference, earned spots on relay teams, and still managed a full class load, a student job, a teaching assistant position, and a secured a position as a Beyond Traditional Borders Scholar to earn research assistant position in an engineering lab.
