Although my specialties are teaching math and science, I have a wide range of interests. As a result, I've taken college courses in Biology, Chemistry, Linguistics, History, Philosophy, Cognitive Science, etc. That and my love of teaching make me a great tutor in all of the subjects I have listed and many others.
My method of teaching emphasizes empowerment over instruction. So, if you believe that you are not capable in your study, I'm the person to show you what you can really do.
I have tutored middle, high school, college, and adults returning to school alike. As an aspiring professor, I have taught a class at Rice and have taught algebra, geometry, calculus, and more at a private high school.

Joe helped me with my summer Multivariable Calculus class. I needed help remembering some old concepts from when I last took calculus I/II as well as guidance with the new material. Joe was very helpful in reviewing old material as well as providing clear explanations for the new material. He was effective in explaining the new material in more detail and was helpful with any homework questions I had. He took the time to give extra detail on things I wasn't clear on. Sometimes, the side notes (which were helpful!) took up a little too much time, but in the end, it was still relevant and helpful to me. Definitely seek him out if you need math help in your college courses, or any math course!
